Police in Kabale District are investigating the death of a soldier whose body was found in a house near the Uganda–Rwanda border.
The deceased has been identified as Robert Tumwesigye, an intelligence officer attached to the UPDF 2nd Division and deployed in Mukokye, Maziba Sub-county.

According to Elly Maate, the body was discovered on a bed on Monday morning after the soldier had been reported missing for five days.
The incident was reported to police by a local leader, prompting officers to visit and document the scene.
The body was later taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Police have called for calm as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
