A chase ensued, during which Isoke allegedly attempted to discard a polythene bag containing a severed human head, later confirmed to be Ameir’s. Police say Isoke was arrested and taken to Migyera Police Station, where he reportedly confessed to the killing, claiming he had planned to sell the head in Kampala.

At the crime scene, investigators recovered a blood-stained panga suspected to have been used in the attack, along with other evidence including blood trails and signs of the body being dragged from the victim’s hut.

Authorities have categorized the case as “murder by cutting” and are continuing investigations. The suspect remains in custody at Nakasongola Central Police Station, while the victim’s body has been taken for post-mortem at the local health center.
