Drama, a pitiful scene at it as armed robbers ‘harvested’ just UGX 4,500 only. In Mayuge District in Eastern Uganda, police are hunting for three gunmen in military uniform who broke into a resident’s home at night and robbed her of Shs4,500 and a mobile phone.

Mr. Michael Kafayo, Busoga East police spokesperson, unraveled that assailants, armed with an AK-47 rifle, allegedly broke into the home of Ms. Aisha Maloba, 34, in Kasuku village, Mayuge Town Council, and robbed her of the money on Friday night.
“We are investigating a case of aggravated robbery, where unknown men, armed with an AK-47 rifle and dressed in military uniform, allegedly entered Ms. Maloba’s rented house, ordered her to lie down, and stole Shs4,500 and a button mobile phone,” Mr. Kafayo started.
Mr. Kafayo went to report that the incident happened on Saturday; the assailants initially grilled Ms. Maloba about her husband’s whereabouts before inquiring if she knew a one Sowed Magumba.
After Ms. Maloba responded that she was ignorant about what they were asking about, the assailants allegedly energetically searched her handbag, where they found and stole the money and a mobile phone before leaving.
Mr. Kafayo added that the victim filed a complaint with the police, who have initiated investigations and a manhunt for the suspects.
