Ugandan preacher Elvis Mbonye has said he foresaw a military strike targeting Iran’s top leadership months before the reported attack that killed the country’s Supreme Leader.
In a video dated 20 January 2026, the Zoe Fellowship leader said he had seen what he described as a strike on Iran’s leadership that would result in the death of the nation’s highest authority.
“But come the month of March, I saw a strike… that hit the Iranian leadership in an assassination, and there was no escaping this,” he said in the recording, referring to what he described as the timing and nature of the attack.

Iran has since confirmed that its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed in coordinated US-Israeli strikes on Tehran. The reported attack was followed by Iranian retaliatory strikes on US bases in the Middle East and on Israeli targets, further escalating regional tensions.
Mbonye said the events were intended to deepen instability in the region and could have wider consequences. He also claimed he had previously seen signs of upheaval in Iran years earlier and called for prayer, saying the outcome would affect civilians.
He further suggested that the strike would appear sudden despite ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.
The preacher has previously made public statements about tensions between Iran and Israel, including comments following reported attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities in 2023 and unrest linked to anti-government protests in 2020.
His latest remarks have circulated widely on social media following confirmation of the Iranian leader’s death.
