The incident is said to have occurred in Gabula-Kitimbo Zone, Kasoigo Ward, Northern Division, Kamuli Municipality

After the police received a tip about the death, they immediately launched an investigation into the matter and reported findings.

Preliminary findings indicated that the Savannah Guest House had been operational for only a week and lacked proper systems for registering its clients, as required by law.

Spokesperson Kasadha emphasised that “the failure to register clients is a breach of safety protocols, and we are working to uncover how this could have contributed to the incident.”

Authorities are also investigating whether any foul play was involved and the body was conveyed to Kamuli General Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
