Police in Kasese district are investigating the circumstances under which two children died after eating suspected poisoned food.
Catherine Kabugho, 10, and Caroline Mbambu, 8, died Friday shortly after being admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kasese town.
Saluti B chairperson Janet Mbambu said that according to preliminary information, the minors were earlier given chapatti’s by their stepfather, also a renowned herbalist, Hajji Abdu Kasita, before suffering stomach upsets.
