The Electoral Commission (EC) has begun the nomination process for the Kawempe North parliamentary by-election and the Kazo-Angola councillor seat, running from February 26 to 27.
The Kawempe North seat became vacant after the death of MP Muhammad Ssegirinya on January 9, 2025, while the Kazo-Angola position opened following the 2022 death of Yusuf Yakubu Kiggundu.
The by-election is set for March 13, 2025.
