A 23-year-old drug dealer from Bedfordshire has been jailed after mistakenly texting a police officer about his new drug operation.
Jack Johannesen, of Stirling Close in Sandy, was sentenced to two years and 10 months at Luton Crown Court after admitting two counts of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and one count of breaching bail conditions.

According to Bedfordshire Police, Johannesen was linked to an organised crime group operating in Biggleswade and Sandy, involved in the supply of cannabis, crack cocaine, and heroin.
Detective Constable Adam Geary, who led the investigation, said it remained crucial to “make our communities an inhospitable place for drug dealers such as Johannesen”.
The case began on 25 October last year, when police executed a search warrant at Johannesen’s home. He was arrested and several mobile phones were recovered from the property, including one found broken in a kitchen bin. Data retrieved from the devices revealed that over 400 contacts had received messages related to drug sales and pricing.
Despite being released on bail, Johannesen resumed his criminal activities just eight days later. He used a newly registered phone to promote his new drug line but mistakenly sent a message to a police officer’s work mobile – the same officer who had participated in the earlier raid.
A second search warrant was carried out at his home on 28 November. Officers arrested him again and seized a small quantity of cannabis, designer items, nearly £2,000 in cash, and another hidden mobile phone, which was discovered after it began ringing behind a wardrobe.
Johannesen later pleaded guilty to the cannabis-related charges and bail violation. He denied involvement in the supply of cocaine and was acquitted of that charge.
Det Con Geary welcomed the conviction, saying: “Johannesen is now rightfully behind bars, and we encourage anyone with information on drug-related crime to come forward so we can continue taking action against those who cause harm in our communities.”
