The physical recruitment phase will run from 5 to 15 August 2025 at selected centres nationwide.
Maj Gen Felix Kulayigye, the UPDF spokesperson and Director of Defence Public Information, urged shortlisted candidates to present themselves with three recent passport-size photos, original academic certificates, and an application letter endorsed by their Local Council I (LC1) chairperson, District Internal Security Officer (DISO), and Gombolola Internal Security Officer (GISO).
He also clarified that applicants who omitted their district of residence on the application forms should instead report to the district indicated on their national identity card.
Maj Gen Kulayigye warned that anyone found with falsified documents would face prosecution. He stressed that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and advised applicants to remain alert to fraudsters posing as UPDF agents.
“Only those listed on the official shortlist should report to the recruitment centres,” he said.
Upon successful completion of the recruitment exercise, candidates will be required to report to Kaweweta Basic Military Training School in Ngoma, Nakaseke District within three days.
The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to conducting a transparent and merit-based recruitment process and extended its congratulations and best wishes to all shortlisted individuals.
