According to local leaders and police reports, Kamoga had previously been warned about his wife’s alleged affair with the friend, who had been staying at their home for months, but he dismissed the claims.
Pascal Imarachi, the Mayor of Zirobwe Town Council, noted that the community had raised concerns about the affair.
“Villagers had repeatedly told him about the inappropriate relationship between his wife and his friend, but he didn’t believe it,” Imarachi said.
“Tragically, when he caught them red-handed in his own home, his wife turned on him and fatally stabbed him in their sitting room.”
ASP Sam Twiinaemazima, the PRO of Savannah Region Police, confirmed that authorities responded swiftly after receiving reports of the incident.
“Our officers rushed to the scene upon receiving information. A case of murder by stabbing has been registered, and the suspect has been arrested for further investigations. However, the deceased’s friend is still on the run,” Twiinaemazima stated.
Kamoga’s body has been taken to Luweero Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination as police continue their investigations.
