In a statement issued on Sunday, URC announced that the structural damage has affected the safety of the railway line, necessitating a full suspension of train operations from April 6 to April 14, 2025.

“This interruption impacts all train services along the affected section,” part of the statement read.

URC added that its technical teams are already on site, working diligently to fix the damage and ensure the safe resumption of services.

The corporation expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and reaffirmed its goal to restore operations safely and efficiently by April 14. It also called for public patience as repairs continue.
