The post quickly gained attention, fueling speculation about a possible rift between the Buganda Kingdom leadership and political entities.
However, Daudi Kabanda, the Secretary-General of the Patriotic League, has dismissed the claim as false. In a post on X, Kabanda clarified that the circulating letter was not authentic and that the League had never issued such a warning.
Kabanda’s statement effectively debunked the misleading information, emphasizing the League’s non-involvement in the matter. This incident highlights the growing challenge of misinformation on social media and underscores the importance of verifying claims before accepting and sharing them as fact.
