A love turned sour led to the early demise of 25-year-old Dorah Perus Nalubega, allegedly at the hands of her husband, James Luwaga.
Police in Kawempe are investigating the alleged murder following a domestic dispute in Kazo Central One Zone, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire observed that the couple had a disagreement the previous night, which appeared to have been resolved.

As passion flared, the disagreement came up again the following morning; a fatal incident was the result.
“It is alleged that the suspect lured the deceased into their house, where he assaulted her. Her distress calls attracted a neighbor, who quickly alerted the area chairman,” Owoyesigyire said.
Luwaga was seen fleeing the scene by authorities who had responded to the cries of the now-late. By the time local authorities arrived entering the house, Nalubega was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood.
Residents of the area moved fast to apprehend Luwaga and handed him over to the police.
“The suspect was arrested, and statements have been recorded from relevant witnesses. We have also recovered the suspected murder weapon, which has been preserved for forensic analysis,” Owoyesigyire added.
Nalubega’s body was transported to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination as investigations continue.
“We encourage couples and families to seek help when facing conflicts. Violence is never the solution,” Owoyesigyire emphasized.
