In a shocking incident in Kamuli District, a woman has severed her husband’s genitals, marking the second such case in the district within a year.
The latest attack occurred in Buguwa village, Balawoli sub-county, where Kevina Nabirye allegedly mutilated her husband, Mathia Bwamiki, before attempting to poison herself. Fortunately, both survived and were rushed to Kamuli-Mulago hospital for treatment.

According to Busoga North police spokesperson Michael Kasadha, Bwamiki’s genitals were reattached by doctors, though he remains in critical condition.
The attack reportedly followed a dispute over Bwamiki’s alleged comparisons of his wife to women on TikTok. He recounted that Nabirye initiated intimacy before attacking him in his sleep. He fought back until his brother intervened and rushed him to the hospital.
The incident has sparked fear among locals, with some men considering protective measures such as sleeping in overalls. Community members and leaders are calling for greater awareness and intervention to address rising cases of domestic violence.
