Brigadier General Charles Oluka, the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), has passed away.
His death was confirmed by military sources, including Deputy Defence Spokesperson Col. Deo Akiiki. Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Faruk Kirunda revealed that Oluka died at Doctor’s Hospital Sseguku along Entebbe Road, where he was rushed for medical attention.

Oluka, who took over ISO leadership in October 2020 from Col. Frank Bagyenda, had reportedly been battling heart complications. Sources indicate that he traveled abroad last year for a medical review, accompanied by his wife and personal doctor.
The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday evening after a full day at work. Upon returning home for prayers, Oluka suddenly collapsed. Efforts to save him were unsuccessful, leading to his untimely passing.
