5 reasons to convince you to choose a Tesla

If you are even remotely interested in electric mobility, you are bound to know  Tesla . The American manufacturer is a pioneer in the electric segment. For good reason, it has never established itself in the combustion engine market. This explains the head start it has over its competitors, most of whom waited until the second half of the 2010s to get started. The American brand, led by Elon Musk, is now the undisputed leader in the electric car market.

Our experts will advise you according to your needs. Beev offers 100% electric vehicles from Tesla at the best price as well as charging solutions.

But then why is Tesla so successful in our country?

Beyond the simple reputation of the brand, the Tesla Model 3 is a product that aims to be high-end, it offers many specific features, more than honorable performances, especially in terms of autonomy . All at a price that allows it to access the ecological bonus , which made the Tesla Model 3 very affordable.

The number of sales increases year after year to exceed 1,300,000 electric vehicles delivered in 2022.

Today, the cost has increased slightly, which is due to certain crises and more particularly to the shortage of semiconductors . But for all that, the Tesla Model 3 does not stifle its success with more than 2,717 vehicles sold and delivered in February 2022 alone . A trend that should continue in 2023 thanks to a price drop of €8,500, now making the electric sedan accessible at €44,990 and eligible for the €5,000 ecological bonus . If you still haven’t understood Tesla’s success, let me present the five reasons that will convince you to choose a Tesla.

Tesla: the most efficient electric vehicles on the market

As stated in the introduction, Tesla offers the most efficient electric vehicles on the market. The American firm offers hyper-efficient electric cars with the best ranges on the market as well as the best performances.

The world’s fastest electric vehicles

If you like speed, you’re in for a treat. Tesla offers the fastest electric vehicles on the market and even surpasses combustion-engine vehicles.  As proof, the Tesla Roadster , scheduled for 2024, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds, making it the fastest car in the world. To make this possible, Tesla relies on a characteristic specific to electric vehicles: instant acceleration.

Indeed, unlike a thermal vehicle that needs to rev up and be in the right power range to provide strong acceleration, the electric car accelerates instantly. The vehicle’s system simply transmits all the electricity needed to the engine to accelerate, all without transition.  Tesla amplifies this phenomenon by the power of the engine integrated into the vehicle, as well as the aerodynamics given by these smooth designs that reduce air friction and promote acceleration.

Tesla and its long-range models

Beyond simple speed performance, Tesla has made the weakness of electric vehicles, AKA autonomy, its strength. Once again, helped by a very refined design that reduces air friction, by a very efficient battery , the autonomy of the models, Tesla defies all competition.

The entry-level model, the Model 3, alone can take you up to 491 km according to the WLTP standard . This is a real technical feat that very few competitors can achieve. On average, competitors offer around 300 kilometers of autonomy for a battery of around 50 kWh.

Save money on usage

It is well known that electric cars cost much less to use than combustion vehicles. This is due to the significant increase in fuel prices, which are reaching new heights. On average, the Tesla Model 3 will consume 169 Wh/km, which gives you an average cost per 100 km of 5.10 euros if you alternate between recharging at Superchargers and recharging at your home terminal. To compare with combustion vehicles, on average a vehicle consumes 6 liters per 100 kilometers.

Today, the price of SP95 is around 2 euros per liter, so for 100 kilometers it costs you 0.12 euros per km. If you travel 10,000 km, driving a Tesla Model 3 will cost you 510 euros in electricity compared to 1,200 euros for a classic thermal model.

This only takes into account fuel prices, but choosing to drive a Tesla also saves you on maintenance costs! Indeed, electric vehicle engines are made up of many wearing parts, which makes their maintenance much easier.

The recharge speed

Another weak point of the electric car that Tesla has been able to compensate for perfectly is the speed of recharging its batteries. Tesla batteries are capable of recharging at more than 170 kW. This is in line with Tesla’s strategy of offering a recharge that would not be restrictive to its customers with the deployment of Tesla superchargers throughout Europe, and more particularly in France. Tesla surpasses itself where electric mobility struggles to convince.

With the Tesla Supercharger service , you can, for example, charge the Tesla Model 3 from 0 to 80% and recover 491 km of autonomy in less than half an hour.

With Tesla, you will have no trouble finding a charging point

Today in France, the number of charging points installed has far exceeded the number of available service stations. In 2018, there were no more than 15,000 gas stations still in service, while at the start of 2022 there were more than 54,000 charging points open to the public .

And as mentioned earlier, Tesla wants to make life easier for its users. In addition to the extremely fast charging times, for an electric vehicle , Tesla allows its customers to have no problem finding their charging station.

Indeed, in addition to the 54,000 charging points open to the public, there are Tesla Superchargers. With this network, Tesla has the second largest network of fast charging stations in Europe behind the Ionity network . Tesla Superchargers can therefore be found absolutely everywhere. At motorway service stations, in city centre parking spaces, in shopping area car parks, etc.

Tesla models are equipped with future technologies

It is not new that Tesla vehicles are intended to be hyper futuristic and above all very well equipped in terms of technology. With engineer and entrepreneur Elon Musk at the helm, it would have been difficult to imagine another direction.

A state-of-the-art on-board computer

Model 3 steering wheel

Tesla vehicles are composed of on-board computers that are ahead of the features it is composed of today. In fact, these on-board computers can accommodate additional features for another 4 to 5 years according to estimates. Tesla regularly updates the technologies of these vehicles.

For now, their electric cars are made up of a screen showing you the battery charge level, the different charging stations and Superchargers that you might come across on your journey if necessary. The on-board computer calculates a route for you so you don’t run out of fuel for long journeys.

Surveillance system

Teslas also feature a 360-degree surveillance system that relies on the dashboard cameras located in the rearview mirror and eight other cameras. This surveillance system is available in 2 levels, one that is activated when there is external contact. Then an alert message is displayed on the screen positioned on the dashboard and indicates to the person responsible for the activation that they are being filmed.

The second mode is activated when a break-in with broken glass is detected, thus triggering a very loud alarm accompanied by very strong lighting and high volume music. These modes can be activated from the car or the application linked to your vehicle.

Autopilot and assisted driving

This is also what makes Tesla so famous; efficiency and innovation based on autopilot and computer-assisted driving. This device is capable of keeping you on the lane while adapting to the presence of other vehicles on the road. It respects the distances imposed by the highway code and its unfailing responsiveness, which far surpasses that of an average human being, guarantees you safety even in emergency situations. The system is also there to capture your attention and redirect it to the road.

If it senses that your hands are coming off the steering wheel, an audible signal will sound and ask you to put your hands back on the steering wheel. After several repeated alerts, if the requests made by the device are still not respected, it will automatically stop the vehicle and turn on the hazard lights. The objective behind this device is to detect possible discomfort while driving and to prioritize the safety of the driver and that of other road users.

Since the recent updates made by the American manufacturer, the system recognizes a long list of additional objects compared to previous versions such as:

  • orange cones
  • traffic lights
  • the trash cans

Tesla is comfort and discretion above all

When you buy a Tesla Model 3 , for example, the driving experience is totally different from the experience of driving a conventional combustion engine car. The sensations are lighter, you no longer feel the jolts that a combustion engine can cause and inside the cabin, calm reigns.

This silence is felt (or not) both inside and outside the vehicle. Goodbye to noise pollution that will make the whole neighborhood squeak, or the envious glances of pedestrians when you drive a big car. With Tesla you will go unnoticed in all circumstances (be careful not to crash into a wall).

Purchasing a Tesla means accessing a high-end product

You will have understood it partly with the price of a Tesla model, but the American firm positions itself very clearly as a luxury brand. The price is not the only argument to confirm this positioning. Tesla offers a whole bunch of services in line with this positioning to justify itself. The service is not the only argument obviously, it is also the product itself which is the main argument.

The Tesla Model S, for example, is the most sought-after high-end vehicle in the world, ahead of automotive giants such as BMW, Mercedes and Audi. But Tesla is also the high-end electric vehicle at an affordable price with its best-selling (and cheapest) model; the Tesla Model 3. The Tesla Model 3 has been available from €49,990 since 2022, previously it was available at €43,990, but semiconductor shortages, delivery and production delays linked to the COVID crisis have got the better of it.

Now you have no excuse not to select one of the Tesla models!
