Atleast 100 were killed and scores injured in a traditional mosque explosion in a Pakistani city.
Official says bomber disguised himself in police uniform. The man attacked a mosque on Monday in the Pakistani city of Peshawar and entered the area in a police uniform.
According to reports, the suicide bomber entered the mosque through the main gates of the secure zone.
Moazzam Jah Ansari, the police chief, said they had CCTV footage of the man’s final movements and were getting closer to the “terror network” responsible.
He also confirmed that the attacker’s head was found at the location.
One of Pakistan’s deadliest attacks in recent memory occurred on Monday at a 50-year-old mosque in a high-security police zone known as Police Lines.
The majority of the victims were police officers.
