Mityana: Man Kills Friend After Catching Him with His Wife

Police in Mityana arrested a man, allegedly for stabbing and murdering his friend after finding him making love with his wife in a coffee plantation.

Wamala region police spokesperson, Superintendent of Police, Racheal Kawala, noted that the deceased, Edward Ssekiwunga, had been invited to enjoy Christmas with the family of Peter Bafirawala at Busaata Kyamagemule village, Kalangaalo subcounty in Mityana district.

“It is alleged that on Christmas, Bafirawala invited the deceased together with other people for a Christmas party at their home. The deceased first went to Kalangalo to watch a football match and later proceeded to the suspects home at around 11 p.m., but the suspect was already sleeping, so he decided to move out with the wife to the suspect,” Kawala narrated.

“When the suspect woke up and realized that his wife was not around, he became suspicious and followed them and found the deceased and his wife allegedly making love in the coffee and plantation,” she continued

Bafirawala then stabbed both with a knife, inflicting serious injuries.
After the incident, both the suspect and wife fled the scene.

Kawala added that police visited and documented the scene while the deceased’s body was found with stab wounds.

“The deceased was discovered in the morning in a very critical condition in the plantation by a child who later alerted the parents. He unfortunately succumbed to the injuries while being rushed for treatment.”

Kawala said the suspect is currently on the run, but efforts to arrest him are underway, and his home was destroyed by the angry mob.
